This is an Oracle DBA role responsible for providing operational and development database services to the organization. Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, participation in design of database architecture for current and future products, responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with research and development teams to implement strategic solutions.
As a Oracle database administrator, you will work in a team environment to provide knowledge of supporting a complex Oracle database environment. The candidate should have very good expertise in logical/physical design and managing VLDB with heavy performance tuning, backup/recovery and cross platform migration. You will also be responsible for architecture, upgrades/patches reviews, monitoring, managing replications, diagnosing system problems, disaster recovery testing and maintaining user accessibility.
As a Database Platform Engineer, you will be a recognized SME in Oracle Database technologies, having a proven track record in development, operations, administration and engineering. Responsible for the design, development, testing, integration, operation and support infrastructure services that meet stated business requirements and adhere to coding best practices and architecture standards. Adheres to architectural design standards, risk management and security policies, data management policies, leading presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), mentoring less experienced team members and conduct peer code reviews. Supports all elements of Software Development Lifecycle. Participates in the development of integration elements, data models, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
